Distribution Veteran Joins First Run/Icarus Films
We are very pleased that Gary Crowdus, with more than thirty years of experience in film and video distribution, has joined our staff.

A 1969 graduate of New York University’s Institute of Film and Television, during the following decade Crowdus worked at Tricontinental Film Center, which released classic Latin American films. Beginning in 1981, he was President of Distribution at The Cinema Guild, a distributor specializing in foreign and American independent films. He is also Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Cineaste, one of America’s most respected film quarterlies, and Editor of The Political Companion to American Film
