Remembering Richard Leacock
One of the fathers of Cinema Verite, Richard Leacock, passed away in Paris on Wednesday at the age of 89.Read about his career and his pivotal role in the history of documentary filmmaking in The New York Times.Leacock participated in Peter Davis' MIDDLETOWN project by directing, with Marisa Silver, the film COMMUNITY OF PRAISE, focusing on a family of born again Christians in rural Indiana. Peter Lennon passed away last week
