The multiple award winning, critically acclaimed film PROTEUS: A NINETEENTH CENTURY VISION receives its Theatrical Premiere at Anthology Film Archives in New York this Friday, August 5.

Hailed as "Truly Stunning!" (Science Magazine) and "Dazzling!" (LA Weekly), PROTEUS, through the story of the influential science/artist Ernst Haeckel, uses the 19th century's fascination with the ocean depths as the locus for a meditation on the troubled intersection of scientific and artistic vision.
