BRIDE KIDNAPPING Opens the Margaret Mead Film Festival
LA SIERRA has U.S. Theatrical Premiere in New York
Filmmaker Petr Lom will be in attendance tonight, November 3, at the Opening Night of the 2005 Margaret Mead Film Festival at the American Museum of Natural History, a special evening that will see BRIDE KIDNAPPING IN KYRGYZSTAN launch this year's festival. BRIDE KIDNAPPING recently received "3.5 out of 4 Stars!" from and was "Highly Recommended!" by Video Librarian, while J. Hoberman of The Village Voice hailed the film as, "A real grabber! A model ethno-doc."

Next week on Thursday, November 10, the award-winning, critically-acclaimed film LA SIERRA receives its U.S. Theatrical Premiere in New York City at the Pioneer Theatre. "An intimate, powerfully disturbing look at the violent barrios of Medellin, Colombia, where baby-faced youths tote guns, commit murder and snort cocaine with a 'live fast, die young' abandon" (LA Weekly), LA SIERRA will screen at several other NYC area venues as well over the few weeks.
