Fall Happenings
It has been a busy Summer here at Icarus Films and we have many exciting news to report.
As you may have seen on our homepage, we have a full slate of new titles to offer, make sure to check back after Labor Day to browse through all the films, including some very compelling work about health care in Africa as featured in our brand new catalog.
We are also thrilled to announce that we have recently acquired the North American rights to Patricio Guzman's latest feature documentary, Nostalgia for the Light. It premiered at the Cannes Film Festival this past May and will be screening at the Toronto International Film Festival next week. It is already getting rave reviews and we are delighted to bring you another outstanding work by Guzman.
Finally, for those of you in the New York City area, one of our stand out titles of the year, In Search of Memory, featuring Nobel Prize winning neuroscientist Dr. Eric Kandel, is screening at the Museum of Jewish Heritage on Wednesday September 15th at 6:30pm, and Dr. Kandel will be present for a Q&A afterward. We would like to congratulate Sergei Loznitsa, director of BLOCKADE and REVUE, whose new film YOU, MY JOY has been selected in the official competition of the 2010 Cannes Film Festival.NOSTALGIA DE LA LUZ, Patricio Guzman's new film, will be part of a lineup of Special Screenings.
